Ingredients
2–3 cups fresh blueberries
Optional: lemon juice (for rinsing)
Preparation
Preheat oven to 225 degrees Fahrenheit. Rinse blueberries and pat completely dry.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread blueberries in a single layer, leaving space between them.
Place in the oven and bake for 2½–4 hours, stirring every 45–60 minutes, until blueberries are shriveled and chewy but not hard.
Remove from oven and let cool completely; they will firm up slightly as they cool.
Notes
Tips
For even drying, use convection if available or rotate the pan halfway through.
Dry time varies by berry size and juiciness—check often near the end.
If berries start to brown, lower the oven temperature slightly.
Storage
Store cooled blueberries in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or refrigerate for 2–3 weeks. For longer storage, freeze up to 6 months.
Uses
Great for baking, oatmeal, yogurt, salads, or snacking straight from the jar.
