About the Recipe
FROG Jam (Figs, Raspberries, Orange, Ginger) is a delightful and vibrant fruit preserve that harmonizes the deep, honeyed sweetness of figs with the bright tartness of fresh raspberries. The freshly squeezed orange juice imparts a burst of citrusy sunshine, while the minced ginger provides a subtle warmth and gentle spice that lingers on the palate. This combination creates a jam that is both comforting and refreshing, ideal for breakfast or as a creative addition to your favorite recipes.
The playful name “FROG” serves as an acronym for its four key ingredients—Figs, Raspberries, Orange, and Ginger—ensuring that there are no frogs involved. Each spoonful captures a harmonious blend of flavors: the natural sugars of the figs meld seamlessly with the vibrant berry notes, the orange brightens the mixture with a lively zest, and the ginger adds a unique kick that rounds out the taste.
This jam is excellent for spreading on warm toast, swirled into yogurt, or used as a glaze for baked goods and roasted meats. It also makes a thoughtful homemade gift, offering a burst of seasonal flavor in every jar. Once cooled and stored in the refrigerator, it will maintain its quality for several days, allowing you to savor a little sunshine with every bite.
