Ingredients
Fresh strawberries (washed and completely dry)
Chocolate (dark, milk, semi-sweet, or white)
Optional toppings: chopped nuts, shredded coconut, crushed freeze-dried berries, sprinkles, or a drizzle of contrasting chocolate
Preparation
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Melt chocolate gently using a double boiler or microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat.
Let excess chocolate drip off, then place on parchment.
Add toppings immediately if using.
Allow to set at room temperature or refrigerate for 10–15 minutes until firm.
Notes
Dry strawberries thoroughly—water causes chocolate to seize.
Use high-quality chocolate for best flavor and shine.
For extra gloss, add ½ teaspoon coconut oil to the melted chocolate.
Avoid refrigerating too long to prevent condensation.
Best enjoyed the same day.
Store uncovered or loosely covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
