Ingredients
Edible Flowers & Herbs: Pansies, violas, rose petals, lavender, mint, thyme, basil, etc. (must be unsprayed and food-grade).
Water: Distilled or boiled and cooled tap water for clarity.
Ice Cube Tray: Silicone trays work well.
Preparation
Gently wash and thoroughly dry your flowers and herbs.
Layer 1 (Bottom): Place a few blossoms/sprigs in each ice cube mold, facing down, and add just enough water to cover them. Freeze for about 30-60 minutes until partially set.
Layer 2 (Middle): Add more water to fill halfway, ensuring flowers stay suspended. Freeze again until firm.
Layer 3 (Top): Fill the rest of the mold with water and freeze completely, usually 4-6 hours or overnight.
Pop out the finished cubes and store in freezer bags or airtight containers.
